The top five innovations which will change our lives proposed by IBM

IBM thinks that computers and smart devices will have human senses in five years from now. This can be read from the – since 2006 – yearly posted top five innovations by IBM. In the first proposal for the future the experts claim that smart phones will be able to simulate materials. So you can e.g. feel a T-shirt by vibrations when shopping in an online shop. The same may be true for a doctor making a remote diagnosis. Also taste shall be emulated.

Next to this computers will get senses and will learn by themselves. Also smartphones will be able to smell and warn their users when they sense danger in the air around the user. Furthermore they will “translate” for humans not listenable frequencies. All five innovations and those from 2006 and 2007 can be found on the IBM website.
