More people are gaming on facebook

During the Game Developers Conference in Cologne (Germany) facebook announced an increase of gaming members by 8.4%. This is in absolute numbers 30 millions more than last year.  According to facebook statistics it is up to 35% more likely that a member reuses a from the appcenter installed program on the next day.

Other numbers show a quite interesting picture: five European companies are amongst the top 10 game developers (Wooga, King.com, Peak Games, Rovio, and Social Point), last year it was only one. When you compare this number with the origin of the facebook users – 80% are not from US! – someone can say that facebook establishes itself more and more as a global platform with local expression. This news are highly welcome by facebook because they may positively influence the rapidly sinking stocks.
