Presentation on “Creative Learning Formats in order to integrate Social Media and Mobile Devices into Classroom Teaching”

I will give at the 18th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning (ICL) a presentation on creative learning formats in order to integrate Social Media and Mobile Devices into classroom teaching. The conference this time takes place in Florence from 20 – 24 September 2015.

In this paper we study the phenomenon of mobile devices and social media which are nearly 24/7 used by students but actually are not yet really integrated into classical classroom teaching and beyond. In this connection we also speak from so called ‘seamless learning’ meaning the practical link between learning inside and outside the classroom by taking advantage of social media and mobile devices. We think that these tools have become an integral part of life and hence shall not be banned from classrooms but should become an integral part of the teaching process. We will show some creative approaches how this can be done by every teacher independent of the subject.

I will present on Monday, 21 September – between 16.00 and 17.30. The full scientific program is now available.
